FAQS
Most common questions I get
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Well, here is the best answer- I do not know! Costs are dependent on the parts used, the quantities, and the materials needed for the repair. I DO NOT PROVIDE SIGHT-UNSEEN QUOTES! I provide quotes only after diagnosing the condition. I do not charge to diagnose or quote your repair to help keep costs as low as possible. Can I give you a roundabout price? Sure can! Anywhere from my minimum charge of $60 up to 60% of the amplifier’s retail cost.
HOW LONG DOES YOUR REPAIR SERVICE TAKE?
Great question! The service repair time depends on the availability of parts and the type of amplifier being repaired. I use a queue system and keep turn-around times updated on the home page. If I am asked when it will be done, a week after it has been quoted, I will point you right to this website. I ONLY work with patient people.
WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT AND WHEN DO I PAY?
Payment requests are submitted through PayPal Invoicing once the repair is complete, tested, and ready to ship out or be picked up. In-person pickups are cash or PayPal with QR processing on-site. Zelle, Cash App, or other bank methods on request.
WHAT ARE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS?
ALL AMPLIFIERS ARE TESTED AT 13.6 to 13.8 VOLTS which is your average automotive voltage. It is the customers responsibility to maintain proper voltage within the average OEM *charging* specifications of 13.7v to 14.7v. We do NOT dyno amplifiers here nor do we cover any over voltage lithium use. The minimum repair charge for any service is $60. Questions? Please feel free to ask.
All billing is provided through PayPal invoicing. Craftsmanship warranty – 90 days for the ORIGINAL OWNER and warranties are NON-TRANSFERABLE. This is to be clear and understood- I warranty my work performed as indicated on the invoice and nothing else. I will not warranty any end-user failures OR any damage associated with connected loads under the recommended manufacture impedance. Yes, an improperly tuned enclosure can and will destroy amplifiers. I do NOT cover any application under 1 ohm for private repair. I will determine applicable warranties if the amplifier is used in any form of competition. There are many reasons for amplifiers to fail and the most common are listed below. Delays in repair WILL occur if all of the directions above are not followed. All unpaid items are considered abandoned after 90 days of the first invoice and all items are subject to resale through www.ellensburgamplifier.com
Shipping is paid by the equipment owner both ways. *If a return label is not provided* then the choice of carriers is at my discretion based on the weight and customer location. Shipping charges are non-negotiable. I do not control what they charge me. Shipping insurance over $100 must be requested if desired. The insurance charge will be added to the invoice. If you want your package insured for more than $100, you MUST ASK FOR IT.
*Taramps, Gately, and Ruthless Audio warranty repair– return shipping is provided*
Ellensburg Amplifier Repair & Service is in no way responsible for incoming and outgoing shipping damage by the carrier, lost or missing screws, fasteners, trims, mounting posts, or feet due to carrier shipping damage. Please secure your amplifier for shipping.
Ellensburg Amplifier Repair & Service is in no way responsible for amplifier failures resulting from incorrect impedance, excessive clipping, improper tuning of enclosures, vibration damage, excessive heat resulting in failure, improper connections of any external component or wire, improper fuse ratings, any under-voltage/over-voltage situations, lithium use, and connecting and disconnecting loads while the amplifier is on causing failure. I may or may not cover warranties for the competitive use of an amplifier. You know the risks of competition use and so do I. Again, I do not cover any form of an installation mistake or lack of knowledge about the amplifier requirements. Educational videos may be recorded, edited, and released covering any repairs performed in whole or in part. **Shipping equipment to the listed address above and accepting any quote indicates agreeance to this email and these terms and conditions.
WHERE DO YOU SOURCE REPLACEMENT PARTS?
Do you have a list of what you use?
Sure do! I will add to this list as information requests come in.
As requested I will be providing links to tools, equipment, and supplies that I most commonly use. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. I do appreciate the channel support. Please review the privacy policies https://app.websitepolicies.com/policies/view/idkdm0pj
